Our Chief Product Officer forfeited $340 of his own FSA balance two Decembers ago.
That is the founding story of Phase 3 Benefits, a Phase 3 Payments company based in Sioux Falls, SD.
Forfeiture, wrong card declines, and black box denials are not edge cases. They are what happens when the product is designed only for plan rules, not for the person paying. Multi wallet routing, day one virtual cards, split authorization, and explained decisions are how we reverse that, with tools that feel like modern fintech instead of a legacy card program.
