Card layer vs TPA: who does what

Write the line before the RFP. We modernize the swipe. We do not take the TPA’s job.

What we run

Issuing and processing. Multi wallet routing. Substantiation, automated and reviewed. Member support. Admin portal and reporting. Funding, settlement, reconciliation. Audit packets for wage law programs. Eligibility and contribution feeds.

What we do not run

Plan documents, SPDs, wrap documents. Nondiscrimination testing. Form 5500. COBRA. ERISA advice or plan design. Brokerage. Fiduciary services.

Why the line is the product

You cannot land and expand if the incumbent thinks you came to replace them. Brokers need that in writing. TPAs need that in writing. Employers need it so legal stops stalling the demo.

What to put in the RFP

Ask for split authorization, explained declines, a decision record, a virtual card on day one, and a published scope list. Do not stop at “do you issue a benefits card.”

Will you take document work from our TPA?

No. Documents and testing are out of scope by design.
